The development of digital publishing technologies and the universal availability of high-speed Internet connections have opened a wide range of opportunities for the publication of technical papers. IFAC is moving to the leading edge of electronic publishing, following a Council decision in September 2006 to move all its technical publications, including fully reviewed papers presented at IFAC technical meetings, to electronic support on the Internet.

• Guidelines for Editors of Future IFAC Events: In order to facilitate upload of proceedings of IFAC sponsored events, event organizers must adhere to prescribed guidelines for proceedings creation.
• Archive of Content on IFAC-PapersOnLine: In order to enable all papers to be viewed and printed globally, IFAC will enforce strict format requirements on papers submitted to conferences.
• How to Cite a Paper on IFAC-PapersOnLine: IFAC-PapersOnline site can be referenced by its ISSN 1474-6670. Please follow this link to see how individual articles can be cited.
• Copyright of Published Content: The Copyright for all papers published on IFAC-PapersOnLine belongs to IFAC. Please follow the link to see the IFAC Copyright Policy.
• Access and Download Policy: The browse and search capabilities of the site are free to used by anyone. Some restrictions will be placed on number of files that can be downloaded.
• Web Crawling: Use of robots or other mechanized devices to access, search or systematically download any portion of the IFAC-PapersOnLine site is restricted to scientific indexing sites. It is also forbidden to create a searchable archive from IFAC-PapersOnLine contents, or to build indexes of the site contents, without the prior written agreement of IFAC.
