Abstract
The drilling process is one of the most extended machining processes in the manufacturing industry. However, the performance of this process can be importantly decreased due to the drill wear and even breakage. Concerning this, this paper presents a flexible software tool that provides the user of the drilling machine with information about the current regime of the drilling process. In particular, the application provides information related to the occurrence of both tool wear and material heterogeneities.
